The Cover of the Common-Place Book

Here we have the printed front page of the Common-Place Book, giving a note on "Locke's Vowel System" of indexing (the pages of which at the front of the book were never used for indexing). It appears that, for some reason, Gwen passed the book on to her daughter, my aunt, Stella Gwendoline Norton (née Hoole). Stella added a few cuttings and then handed the book over to my mother, who later passed it back to Stella who finally handed it on to me.
