Crossing a drift





Travel by ox-drawn wagon was slow and difficult.

Here Watson's company crosses a drift, and Mrs Watson's caption for this photograph identifies the drift as being over the Moko River on the Zambesi Road.  Neither of those names appears to be in use today.
